Residents Ordered To Shelter In Place In Baltimore County During Barricade (Developing)

Some residents were warned to stay indoors on Wednesday night as members of the Baltimore County Police Department worked to resolve a standoff with a barricaded suspect.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, officers were called to the unit block of Midway Avenue in Dundalk, where there was a barricade situation, officials say.

Residents were first advised to avoid the area, and then a "shelter in place" order was issued by the department as they worked to end the situation.

No information about the nature of the barricade was provided by police.

More information is expected to be released on Wednesday night.
